Sanchitta Vinyasa Yoga is a unique and transformative approach to yoga, blending self-directed exploration with guided classes led by Shrinka Ji. This practice goes beyond structured movement—it is an invitation to listen deeply, flow intuitively, and connect with the wisdom of the body.
More
Shrinka is a deeply insightful yoga teacher and philosopher who blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern approaches to mindfulness and self-awareness. Every day, Shrinka devotes time to guiding students through physical postures, breathwork, and meditation, creating a space where individuals can explore both their physical limits and their inner worlds. With a calm and grounded presence, Shrinka encourages practitioners to embrace the present moment, letting go of distractions and reconnecting with their true selves.
In teachings, Shrinka emphasizes that yoga is not just a series of physical exercises but a way of life. Through meaningful discussions and reflective guidance, Shrinka helps students understand concepts from classical yogic texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. By weaving these philosophical insights into daily practice, Shrinka inspires others to apply yogic principles beyond the mat—encouraging kindness, self-discipline, and an awareness of interconnectedness in all aspects of life.
Whether teaching in a quiet studio, conducting retreats in nature, or sharing wisdom through written work and talks, Shrinka radiates a deep sense of peace and understanding. Students often leave sessions feeling not only physically rejuvenated but also mentally and spiritually enriched. With an intuitive ability to meet each person where they are, Shrinka adapts teachings to suit beginners and advanced practitioners alike, ensuring that everyone finds a personal path to growth.
Beyond the classroom, Shrinka leads a life of simplicity and intentionality, embodying the very principles taught to others. Through daily rituals, meditation, and self-study, Shrinka continues to evolve both as a teacher and as a lifelong student of yoga and philosophy. Whether through direct teaching or simply by example, Shrinka serves as a guiding light for those seeking balance, wisdom, and deeper self-awareness.

At the heart of Sanchitta Vinyasa is breath, or ‘pranayama’, the bridge between movement and mindfulness. Each posture is synchronized with the rhythm of the breath, creating a seamless and meditative flow. Through this conscious connection, practitioners cultivate strength, flexibility, and inner stillness, allowing both body and mind to move in harmony.
Unlike rigid, one-size-fits-all sequences, Sanchitta Vinyasa honors the uniqueness of every practitioner. Students are encouraged to engage at their own pace, adapting postures to their individual needs and abilities. Whether flowing through dynamic sequences or pausing in reflective stillness, this practice becomes a personal journey of self-awareness and transformation.
As the class unfolds, an organic sense of liberation and empowerment emerges—not just physically, but mentally and spiritually. More than a physical discipline,
Sanchitta Vinyasa Yoga is a moving meditation, an opportunity to breathe with intention, embrace the present, and experience the profound joy of simply being.

Our classes are meant for practitioners of all levels, including those who are brand new to yoga. Everyone can expect to build strength and sweat! We teach the VIYASA Style of practice and while they may seem challenging and strength building, they move slowly and are accessible to beginners. If you have pain, injuries, or other limitations, please share with the instructor before the class.
Reservations are required to attend classes. If you are dropping in make sure you come 15 mins earlier to register for the class.
IN-PERSON CLASSES: Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start time. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO CLASS. If you cannot attend class, please cancel your reservation at least 4 hours prior to class start time to avoid a late cancellation fee.
VIRTUAL PHILOSOPHY CLASSES: Please reserve at least 15 minutes prior to class time to make sure you receive your virtual class link. If you miss your online class or cancel late, don’t worry, there is no penalty for no-shows for online classes.
Yoga should be practiced daily except on MOON days. We recommend that you atlease practice at least three to four times each week to derive maximum benefits from the class. Get started with our new student trial offer and experience the classes. Once you get to know your body, we will help you select a membership plan that best fits your practice.
Regular (Once weekly) attendence is required to be able to understand the flow of thought in philosophy classes. Even if the first one is a little unclear by the time you are attending the 3rd class the broader concepts and themes will start making sense.
Our approach is inclusive and individualized to support students of all ages, sizes, genders, and physical conditions. We emphasize self-acceptance and teach our students how to modify the practice so they can work around limitations and meet their own needs. Everyone is encouraged to start where they are and work at their own pace. We all want to feel better inside and out, and Escape offers a safe place for you to explore and discover the beauty of your mind and body.
Our Yoga Sutra or Bhagwat Geeta classes focus on how to transform yourself from inside. They are not connected to religion or religious practices at all.
Wear clothing that is comfortable and allows a full range of motion without binding. For yoga, tops should be snug enough to prevent them from falling over your head during inverted poses. Tighter bottoms will help the instructor watch your alignment. We keep the studio at about 72-74 degrees, so you may want to bring some additional layers.
To prepare for class, wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in, mat, and towel. If you don’t have a mat, we have them available to rent for $6.
We supply all the necessary props for class. We have a few extra mats that can be rented, but it is strongly encouraged to bring your own mat. Many students prefer to bring their own props such as blocks, straps and a blanket.
When you come in for class, please feel free to let the teacher know if you have any concerns or questions before class starts! They will be able to offer variations, and tips for class.
Late arrivals will not be admitted to In-Person classes. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start time.
Philosophy classes you may attend a few minutes late as well.
There is free, convenient street parking right in front of the studio and a free parking lot nearby at the bottom of the lane.
Relax! HERE a few quick tips for the Escape newbie!
Can I Bring a Friend?
Yes! At Escape, we believe that yoga is a lifelong practice and that people can benefit from yoga at all stages of life. Class participants are welcome to bring their kids along if they believe their children have reached a level of maturity that would allow them to practice along with the grown-ups without being a distraction. We have found that children as young as 12 years old enjoy adult yoga classes with their parents. Children 16 and older are considered old enough to attend regular classes unaccompanied by an adult as long as their parents approve of their participation. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not permitted to wait in the store/lounge during class.
I Am Pregnant. Do You Offer Prenatal Yoga?
We don't offer prenatal yoga specifically, but our Gentle Hatha classes are appropriate for people at any stage of life and our expert instructors can help you find the modifications you need to practice safely.
What amenities do your studios have?
Our studios have ample space for you to store your belongings, as well as bathrooms, changing rooms, and a water bottle filling station.
I don’t have a yoga mat. Can I rent one?
Yes! You can rent a yoga mat for $6. Rental includes a full-length mat towel. We also have Manduka mats and towels for sale.
When do studio doors open before class?
Doors open 15 minutes before class starts. Thank you for giving our staff time to prep the space!
Can my child come take class with me?
Yes! We welcome students of all ages. Any students under the age of 18 will need to have a guardian set up their account & sign a waiver on their behalf. We recommend using your discretion when choosing classes.
Do you have child care services or can my child stay in the lobby during class?
No, we do not. We ask that kids stay at home when you're coming to practice with us (unless they will also be taking class). We do not have on-site child care and cannot allow kids to be in the lobby unattended.
Can I bring my phone into the studio?
If you must bring your phone into the studio space, we ask that it is on silent and away during class. If you need to check your phone, please step into the lobby so as to not disturb your fellow students.
Phone use is always allowed in the studio for medical conditions & as a medical device.
If you would like to use your phone to record your practice, you are welcome to do so. Please be mindful of where you set up your phone and ensure that you are not recording other students during class, unless you have their consent to be in the video.
